jacking up the car looking for advice.
Hello, Im thinking of jacking up the 84DT and doing some work underneath. So far im planning to replace the flex disc, transmission bushings and adjust the vaccum modulator. Are there any other usual problem-parts i should replace while being in there?
Thanks |

Theres all kinds of things you could do. For one .. flush the brake system, the old fashioned way works fine if you dont have a pressure bleeder. Take a look at the brake pads and rotors as taking off the wheels for bleeding makes life easier also check the hoses for "hernias" (blisters). When I get a car I take it too the car wash and do a supper "degreesing" which makes working on it allot more pleasant. Take a look and if the brake fluid isn't nice and clear, do a flush and refill with Dot 4. Also check out the rubber mount for the center bearing.

Hope
I hope you do a real good job of jacking that car up. After you get it jacked up, you might really want to put jack stands under it. Work safe!
