They look a lot like an updated 80's 123 to me.

And I think the companies do work together.

Didn't Chrysler Daimler Benz merge together as one company ?

While travel a couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to drive a Kia Mini van as a rental (needed to haul things). OMG I thought it was going to fall apart. It felt like it was made out of tin foil, and that the suspension was going to crack on the next bump. All of this with just 3000 miles on it.

Made me happy to get back to the Benz when I got home.
