My 84 190D is about 36MPG with an auto with the AC off. I can squeeze 39MPG if I lightfoot it.

This is interesting because this is my first tank on biodiesel, and I got about 4-5MPG less than the last time I checked (though roughly the same as the first time I checked, on dino). However, I had a bit more city driving on this tank as well. I've got about the same blend in this time so I'll be watching.

This was my first long trip after buying the car. Crappy tires, lots of backroads and hills, 75-80 the whole way. The exhaust was split wide-open just after the down pipe (near the transmission). Loaded full of music gear, windows and sunroof open. Not killer mileage, but acceptable. At least it was comfortable.

Highway speeds around 70-75. In the city I really don't push it. No A/C.

27.06 mpg in the grey 300SDL with 307K miles. Not bad considering speeds rarely exceeded 40 mph in stop and go driving. I drive it moderate to hard (3500 - 4000 rpm shifting).

Seem to average 25 regardless of driving style, ie. driving like a punk or driving like a grandma.

1998 E300D turbo
almost 109K miles

Just got the car this week and today was the first time driving the work commute... ScanGaugeII computer said I averaged just under 28MPG for the 36 mile one way at about 75mph for most of the trip and averaging 45mph...
Will have a better idea in a few weeks after I go thru' several tanks of fuel...

I keep an Excel spread sheet Mileage log..

Joe
