RH Mirror installation guidance?

One job I've never done before...and the search results did'nt mention the first step.

Anyone have guidance for removing the factory blank trimplates and installing a passenger side mirror on a 240D?

I'm reluctant to grab the screwdriver and just start prying around...

The triangular piece inside the door pops off. It's been along time but I think that there are screws behind the plate that releases the outer plate. The mirror mounting holes are already in the door.

Here's the back of the blank piece on the idside of the door. The little nub at the top by my first finger pops in a little rubber grommet. NNote the tabs at the bottom, don't pry from the bottom. Once off, there's three screws behind it that attach the mirror to the car.
