Yarrrgh

Ok, so Incase you dont know about my Benzo's problem, No start, no crank, under hood bypass yields no starter activity, shifting while turning key or starting in neutral fails to crank as well. Sunday she did this in the underground garage, messed with it forever, no dice, today after work I go to Murrays to get a jack, (someone stole the handle to my 4 ton lincoln, so its currently incapacitated) and some jack stands (this car is loooooow) so I can get under there and fool around, mabe pull starter, who knows. So I toss the jack and stands in the boot, Im gonna do the deed tomorrow after work, just for schlitz I get it and turn the key, fires right up! Let her run for a bit, then shut down and restart a few times, starts every time!

So I dunno, ive heard so many different things it could be, NSS, guy I bought it from had a new one put on at the dealer in Dallas, didnt drive it much after that, then I got it and it did this once on the drive home, then now. So mabe dealer was crooked and just cleaned the contacts, or mabe it is a new NSS, just that wasent the problem.

Ive also heard starter, and starter solonoid, flatspots, ect. If in fact it was flat spots, howd it start today? I didnt whack it to move it off the spot, it just fired up. Any Ideas in those big brains out there?

When you say no starter activity, do you mean no noise at all? If the solenoid isn't clicking, I would be checking for power on the energizer wire while someone hold the key in the start position. If you have power, it could be the solenoid, if no power, check wiring, neutral switch, and ignition switch.
Another thing to check is the battery cables, not just the connections at the battery, at the engine end also.

sounds like power and ground connections or could be a bad ignition switch, my 300d won't start sometimes until i turn the key and give it a giggle.

Yeah, no noise, except when I try the hot bypass, just one click from the top of the engine somewhere, drivers side. Where might I find the energizer wire? And is there a way to test the solonoid without pullin the starter out? And same with the ignition switch, is there a way to test without yankin it?

That click sounds like a relay. OK, before pulling the starter, you need to check your cables for corrosion, just loosen them where they connect to the starter and block and move them back and forth, then tighten again and try the starter then. A quick check would be to turn the headlights on and then try to start, if the lights go out or very dim, you have connection problems. If they stay bright, I would bet on the starter solenoid.
