It,s raining in Texas and my window won't close.
I was attempting to close the pass front window and it got half way up and stopped. I could not hear the motor engaging. I removed and cleaned the switch, hoping this would do the trick, but as there ain't nothin frigging easy, it did not. I pulled the door panel and teseted the motor wiring at the connector. Both sides were hot, so I removed the witch and tried to jump it and again, nothing. I have two questions, are both leads supossed to be hot at the same time and is there a
way I can get the window the rest of the way up without waiting for a new switch or motor? 83' 300D Last edited by blindwolf; 07-27-2007 at 05:29 PM. Reason: added year and model |

Switching to manual windows
If I can't get my windows to close I may switch to manual. Would'nt be hard would it?

I managed to get the window closed by unbolting the motor and rail assembly, detaching the window and lifted up by hand to rhe full closed position. I secured it into place using a plastic wedge. It appears like it should hold until I can get the replacement parts needed.
