My Fuel Filler Neck Seal is Melting!
Looks like the fuel filler neck seal in my '85 is not biodiesel-proof.
 The rubber is softening and it has split and it's only a year old. Does anyone know of a source for seals made of resistant rubber? I know they're not expensive but I'd rather not have to replace them so often. If I don't have a good seal, rain crawls down the filler pipe and gets into the trunk.  Jeremy

I've never found one. The key is to not spill bio on it, and wipe it down if you do. They will last a lot longer that way.

Spill
Maybe the seal on the filler cap is leaking a little. Are those separately replaceable?

you can replace the rubber seal inder the cap. it`s similar to the one on
the valve cover. I replaced the valve cover one, got the seal from my indy. check fast lane. charlie here is the part. fuel tank cap seal E2060 - 124896 $2.84
