Well i have a perplexing situation with my dome light on my 83 300SD. The light will not come on when i open up the drivers side door. IT will when i open up the passenger's door however. The contact switch seems to be working as well because the under the door light is coming on when i open up the door. WHat gives here? any suggestions/ideas?
thanks
R

In the W202 C class the entrance lights in the door are connected to the front dome light...so, if the front dome light doesn't get a ground from the door contact, the entrance lights don't get a ground either...strange problem!

I would start checking the plug on the dome light.

greetingz,
