If it were repetitive in a precise pattern, consistently without variation, I'd agree. But without an audio clip, I'm assuming the data provided is approximate. I've heard lifter noise in a pattern similar to what he describes but it wasn't as rhythmic. Top center of the valve cover wouldn't coincide with the chain, either.

Good evening, thanks for the responce. I have to admit I used too thin an oil. I showed my son the wrong oil, it was 5w30. I just now changed the oil. I used 15w40. I took it for a quick run and it already sounds better. I am finding it's alot like my wife. I better treat it the right way or I'll hear about it. thanks again. This site is excellent.
