It'd be fine in MI because we have no inspections or emissions testing whatsoever.

That's probably why he's selling it. PA-DOT has a number of hoops one must jump through to make this a "legal" conversion. Neat idea though.

If it's in good condition, the engine/tranny itself may be worth more than the "converted" truck.

Seems the guy can weld great, but wiring just isn't his thing. Check out the engine bay of his 300D veg car. Click the black dot then the upper left eyeball, you'll understand when you click on the link.

Well if you have a farm or a lot of back woods that might be fun to pull trees out with or to see how deep the creek is or to see how far it will fly of the side cliff or maybe crawling around some rocks, but then again it is an old dodge, but it would make good target practice, or field art.

I would like a little diesel truck. Someday I plan to drop a turbo 617 or a cummins 4BT into a old '49 dodge I have.

like someone else said, I think the engine and to a lesser extent the truck body is worth the asking price. Its obviously an somewhat experimental amalgamation, but one that would, or should be a welcome addition to those of us who have knowledge of the durability and purity of design of these engines. Having a pickup thats capable of 30 mpg would be some incentive too. Im currently selling my GMC sierra because of the 14 mpg means I can't afford to go anywhere in it.

$3000 and it's yours, and,,,I'll clean up the wiring!!!

I'm not actually selling this truck. It belongs to my friend. He wants $3,000. Come on. Tell me where else you can get a pickup truck with a 300d in it for 3,000. The welding and custom mounts are $800 alone. Anyways I've been driving back and forth to work and it's really smooth.

Forced induce,,
I've got the conversion for you. An amish farmer friend of mine that isn't allowed to drive because of his religion has a Sh**t spreader with a 300d throwing the ***** and it's pulled by a team of horses. Your old school right? Now that is engineering. His 0-60 on the flung poo is like 7 secs before it hits the ground.

That truck was on fleabay about a month and a half ago........only went up to about 1800. if I remember correctly. I thought it a cool idea, but was not going to pay that much for it then, and certainly not 3k now.

Honestly, I wouldn't pay more than the value of the used engine/tranny.
