Ditto. No wonder you have not sold it yet. One look at that engine bay is enough to scare off any possible buyer.

wiring mombo fombo

Yeh, but you only need about 6 of the total 1000 wires to make this conversion run. Remember this is a mechanical engine. Let's see
1. ingition
2. electric lift fuel pump
3. temp gauge
4. oil pressure

Sorry couldn't think of any more. I don't really care because this runs great.

Sure is fun to drive and put loads of crap in plus 2 newfoundlands.

He's loaning it to me for 2 weeks. I want one exept I just bought a chevy 6.5 for veggie.

It doesn't matter if it needs all the wires, it matters to prospective buyers that it looks horrible with them strung everywhere.

Hey Forced induce,
I'll clean up the engine bay and wrap up all the wires just for you. Call Sam and he'll give you a good price. Just tell him your buddy jon sent you. I'll post some new pictures for your viewing pleasure.

I, for one, wouldn't want any kind of pick-up truck.

The wiring looks scary to me as well. I understand a diesel doesn't need much wiring but by the looks of it that truck I doesn't give me a sense of any reliability.

Looks like the truck itself would be as reliable as ever... and the engine itself would be as reliable as ever... it's just the interfaces in between that are raising questions.

It might be interesting.

Also, it appears that neither the tach nor the speedo are working in the video.

yeah i doubt that the spedo in a dakota would match up with a mercedes tranny.

You must also remember the emissions testing and registration issues with converting a gas vehicle to diesel.

Looks like it fits perfectly, size wise.

Yeah, the wiring does not inspire the thought "well thought through". It looks more like... "If I spend five more seconds on this stupid job I will die".

How much is being asked for the truck?
