Yup, it's probably safe to assume you will be spending another $1000 on the AC.

I would like to know if the pics on ebay are very recent, or has she degraded since these were taken?

Thats a pretty damn nice car for a "20 footer". Is it the original paint, beacuse a buffer on O.E. Mercedes paint can do wonders....

I think the point is to restore it into a six figure show car, not a 20 footer.

Sorry, that car looks to me like its sick of sitting around and wants to be driven. If it were mine, it would get the whole mechanical restoration, the wheels redone, buff out the paint, and drive the snot out of it. I just dont get the trailer queen feeling from looking at this car.

You are still talking about a $20 or $30K investment (in addition to the sale price, which will probably be $50+K). There are less expensive 6.3s around if you are just looking for a driver, I occasionally see a decent looking one in the $20 - 30K range.

Im keeping my eyes open. I would be happy with a 4.5 300SEL or even a 3.5. The 6.3 is just a magical car to me. I love that body style and interior. Black with red leather would be the tits.

Do I hear $50,000?

It's up to US $42,320.00 now, ends tomorrow morning.

Well, my guess was $50K+, I bet it makes it. Cool car, hopefully it will get a nice restoration. Look for it in a BJ auction in a couple of years.

That's a Euro, isn't it? No side markers and orange front corners are my tip-off. Additional DOT side markers do nothing for the car. I'd say it doesn't even need fog lights. Unless those are 15" bundts, I'd sell them as Steve McQueens winter wheels for the $50K to restore the car. It looks perfect with hubcaps.

Herb, "needs a Freon charge" is overused by scum on eBay. Unfortunately reputable sellers like yourself come off sounding less than reputable because of it. You're kinda forced into something like "compressor engages but doesn't cool."

You lose!

It went for $45,100. Whoever said "over $50,000" owes me money (you do remember our wager?)
