Well.........then, maybe we can help you.

The line from the ALDA goes to the overboost protection valve on the firewall..........the horizontal port at the top of the valve.

BTW, it's not a vacuum line, but a pressure line with a signal from the intake manifold.

It is routed to the vacuum modulator located on the side of the transmission.

Looks like:

A few months ago this hose became disconnected on my 85 300D Turbo and even after putting it up on jack stands it took me forever to find out that it was supposed to connect to a little green modulator diaphragm valve thingy (or you could call it by one of the many zesty and coloful names I gave it that day) sitting obscured on top of the transmission nearly impossible to find when you have no idea what it is for which you are looking.

I hadn't realized yet that there are resources available here from which to gather information. Boy I sure have a lot to fix on By Tor when I'm done with Snowdog.

Do you still need to find it? I forgot the camera today, but I was under the car - on my 300TD, the modulator valve is just above the trans fluid pan on the driver's side. Look up, in between the first (front of pan) and second bolts holding the pan on.
