oil issues part 2
ok boys and girls...
is there something like a stop leak that i could put on my oil cooler lines in order to stop the spray coming from one of them?? any ideas about a temp fix(before replacing) would be helpful lyle

Think about this for a second. Do you want a material to plug small passageways in your oil galleries?????

Get some good hose clamps. Cut the lines and bypass the cooler. That should work until you replace them.
The house will probably be rotted so get 1ft of new house for the bypass. Cut the crimps and slip the hose over the barb. Double clamp.

You can get those lines "rebuilt" from a good hydraulic shop much cheaper than buying them outright. All leak stop does is plug up all small holes, including the oil squirters for the pistons in the turbo models. It will not seal rubber hoses

Never, ever, use oil additives. If you have a problem don't dance around it with hopes of a magic cure in a bottle, fix it.
