help with a few problems, i can see a bit of diesel gas
 

My car struggles uphill, does not slip into previous gear just feels like it woes back and forth from wanting to go, to not wanting to go.
Seems like one thing after the next, after the next, but I guess this is just my semi annual tune up that was much needed. I fixed a couple of stale cracking vaccuum connecters which I thought fixed the problem, I was climbing a hill like a champ at 65 mph. Then later that night, 50 mph seemed to difficult. I found a bit of diesel near the smaller fuel filter, here is a picture, and might this be related? could fuel be leaking because it is plugged? I made sure that white plastic screw was on tight! it seemed to leak from the top it looked like. http://img14.imgspot.com/u/07/219/15/DSCF0034.JPG

Fuel filters are cheap. If yours look old just replace them, it won't hurt your wallet.

....and a $2 can of engine degreaser.

As far as I can tell from you pics:

In the first photo, that is the lift pump. Looks like it's going bad if it's leaking. The plastic screw is there in case you run out of fuel. You unscrew that screw and pump fuel with it manually.

The second photo looks like the hose of the wastegate actuator. Good thing you changed it as it can severely damage your car by overboosting.

I'm sure more experienced people will have their say, but so far I can say your power problems might be from the lift pump going bad.

After you use a couple 6 or 7 cans of cleaner see if you can tighten up the plunger on the hand pump. Try cleaning the banjo bolt for the turbo boost, it is located on the back of the intake manifold. clean out the switch over valve with carb spray/ brake cleaner. Take it for a spin and see if that helps. Good luck.

plunger on the hand pump? is this just the plastic screw on the primer pump? And as for the banjo bolt on the back of the intake, will I easily locate this? What will cleaning it do? Thanks to all.

You may want to replace the entire primer, they leak after a number of years, there is a new style available, not expensive.

Yes clean the line and the banjo bolt with carb cleaner spray also the boost switch on the top of the manifold. You will notice a difference in performance. Also search for the info on "testing" the EGR valve vacum lines.:D
