Headlight Buckets - Why do they do that?
Just replaced my first headlight on the W126. The buckets are hinged on the top and will swivel a few degrees. Now I know why my headlights dance a little at stoplights.
What is the purpose of this design?

That is for the adjusting, but they should not dance around.

Dance around might be a little strong.
The whole bucket moves when you adjust the headlight in a "normal" car. I still don't know why Mercedes has the top of the bucket hinged... Maybe it's just one of those Mercedes things
