The jacking pads I discribed earlier are tools sold by Mercedes, and are NOT part of the car. They are used when one uses a floor jack. The metal part slides into the jacking hole to prevent the hole from becoming out of round while the weight of the car is on the floor jack. The rubber part, which is connected to the metal insert, is for protecting the undercarriage of the car. On the 123 car, there are very few options for jacking without using the hand jack.

The part is 124 997 04 86 - plug, take-up device lock at floor, hard-rubber buffer used for jack. Group 68, sub-group 15, item 56. It's the kind I have through 89 or 90 then round beyond. I don't know if they're interchangeable.
McCool, I expect your 93 TD has round buffers. I don't see sub-group 15 in the Russian parts website. Sixto 87 300D |
