300sd/560 sec
will the front sheet metal of a 300sd fit onto a sec with a bashed front end?

It would an SEL, but I believe the front end of the SEC is different.

Well I know with some work the front end of a C126 will fit on a W126.
The problem you may run into is a 560SEC is post makeover and a 300SD is pre makeover. MB changed a lot and I would be worried about the fenders fitting. Now going the opposite direction should be possible, but it would be one ugly SEC. Find a junk SEC to get parts from that shouldn't be hard.
