How much does the dealer charge to do it? If its like $100 screw it, I'd take it to the dealer.

Some people can't be bothered to fix their cars anymore..........so they pay the price for that privilege. Not a bad way to go if you can afford it and don't giving a good chunk of disposable income to the dealer.

It costs about $60 - 70 to do it yourself with Mobil 1, depending what you pay for the oil.

the filter wrench is a hazet tool- a 14/15 flute 74/75/76mm? (dont remember exactly) or a large pair of channel locks in a pinch Its the same filter wrench used on 112/113 272/273 engines.

the others were right too- use Mobil 1 5w-40 oil and a fleece filter.

Because its only $30 more than doing it yourself. And for that you get your free time back, and don't have to get your hands dirty.

Besides its only every 13k miles, thats cheap!
