I threw the belt on the alternator today. When I got under the car the bottom most bolt lets call it the pivot bolt. The hole in the alternator looks like it has been slotted by being loose. I am 99 percent sure it is not suppose to be slotted cause I could not get it tight. Am I correct? thanks for the help.

Holes in the alternator should be round.
