Driverside window problems

Wife rolled her driverside window down about 1/2 for some reason this afternoon and it would not go back up. She forgot to tell me till 930 tonight after I had gone to bed to read for awhile tonight.

Anyway I went to look at the car and checked the fuses first and they were good so I tried to roll the window up, needless to say it didn't roll up. So I tried the down position and I guess I hit auto down part of the switch, it rolled the window down all the way and will not come up.

Any quick way to get the window up temp untill I can get a chance to work on the thing?

If it isn't one thing it is always another.

Can you swap a couple of switches to run the window up?

Sounds like a reasonable thing to try, I wish I could say I had just thought about doing that but I didn't for some reason. Hey if that does the trick I will know that I need to order a switch I guess.

I will set the alarm for 5:30 AM and get up and give that a try, it is still about 95*F with 93% humidity in the garage.

Changed out the switch with the passenger side and window worked perfect. Will order two switches if I can afford the things later today.

Can the switch contacts be cleaned like the ealier models? If so it is a very easy fix 5-10 mins.

I will check to see, but it didn't look like a repairable switch. I have cleaned the 123 switches with success, but it was so hot and muggy in the garage this morning I didn't want to mess with it until wife and grandson were gone.
