I feel your pain. Two of my 300D's got hit by hail three weeks ago. I was amazed that no glass broke.

if you don't mind asking -the window you had replaced on your 190
was it laminated glass ?

reason for asking - $ 250.00 replacement for my 300 SDL delaminated rear window -
even so I stated on the quote, has to be laminated glass -
turned out to be "single " ply glass -
and glued on defroster ribbon - refused install -

received a call from " Safe light " ? chain - stating " cannot supply laminated glass "
the question is - for Mercedes cars only ? Because I seen laminated glass in the truck ,
for other cars .
