window regulator question
I'm trying to remove the rear passenger window regulator from a '85 300D. I've removed 3, 10mm nuts and detached the window but cannot pull the regulator out. It appears to be blocked by a vertical piece of metal that is attached to the bottom of the quarter glass.
Is end of the vertical piece supposed to be unattached to remove the regulator? Thanks in advance for any tips or instructions.

Remove the nut at the bottom of the door that holds the vertical piece in place. Then you can ease the regulator out. To put it in, get the regulator into the door then install the vertical piece.

I don't remember all the details, but in addition to unbolting the regulator from the frame, you have to unbolt the regulator from the bottom of the window. As I recall they're was one or two bolts that had to be removed.

On the front windows you have to unbolt the plastic runner tab from the bottom of the window. On the rears it will just slide off .. at least on the W126. Any W123 guys to confirm this?
