Actually youd be surprised on the values of the S-class compared to a 7-series BMW. The S-class will hold its value, for the price i paid for my 96 S420 i could of had a 00-02 740iL in the same mileage and condition.

They are much better than there counterparts, IE XJ8, A8, 750IL...but the LS430/460 hold there value much better until the 10 year mark. Than MB seems to edge ahead.

Any car take a noise dive in value but high end cars are worst because they are complicated and expensive to repair.

Nice Car But......

like someone said, what would this car be worth right after you drive away with it. I believe you can easily get 2, 3, probably even 4 really decent SD's for this price.

Thumbs up

I'd prefer to have one with some miles so I could actually drive and enjoy the vehicle! Just think, every additional mile you put on the vehicle will drop its value. Great...

I purchase a vehicle to drive and enjoy, not to just sit around in the garage to be driven once a year. I find it pointless to have a 99-100 point show vehicle, it's nothing more than a trailer queen. You're scared to take it anywhere for fear of door dings, rock chips, etc.

To each their own.
