I see you live in a cold weather area.Was wondering if you run bio all winter and if so ,what do you do so you can run it all winter.THANKS

I moved to Arizona! Now I can run bio all year! But seriously, I heard all you need to do is add some diesel No. 1 to keep bio thinned. If it's really cold, I would add some kerosene. A 25/75 mix should be fine! (25 Kero/75 bio)

Last winter was my first bio winter in KY. I found that my 100% bio gelled at about 35 degrees. I tried adding several brands of anti - gel and nothing seemed to help for straight bio. I mixed about 25% #2 diesel (kero might work better) and then added the anti - gel. Worked great, although our low temp was about 8 degrees F. To find the best mix, I made test batches (different mixes) in pint jars and set them in an unheated workshop and watched for gelling.

I've been able to run B50 most of the winter without any anti-gels, but that is counting on the temperature not falling below 0F. If it goes further than that, a 3x dose of arctic express and B40 will do the trick.

Thanks-I have one more question. I have a hard time drying my washed bio. I put it in a tank with a bubbler on the bottom and a fan on top. I have heard that if you add some salt. It will take the water out of the bio. Is there a better way to dry.thanks

I thought on another forum you used salt in some of your bio to clear it up?calling old300d

Does anyone have a better way to dry bio?
