Not sure what u mean by "seat". THe part I oiled was the inside of the torn boots.
Tie rod replacement is very easy especially when u r replacing the assembly. Tricky part is trying to mirror the new tie rods with the old ones as far as measurement from center to center of each end. That way, the car is not totally off alignment after. Of course, an alignment will be necessary after the job is done.
