Silly dash question
Perhaps a silly question. I'm wondering if a 240D is driveable with the dash removed? Assuming you could rig up a method of holding the instrument cluster in place that is.

I ran my 85td without the dash after I converted it to a manual AC/heat system, just to be sure everything was functioning properly.

My center console is out to get at the manual AC controls. My odo and spedo have just stopped working. So I'm considering pulling the whole damm mess and renovating the instrument cluster as well as the evap and the whole A/C system etc. This will take time and my principal vehicle 02 Kia Rio is such a piece if crap I know I'll have to drive the Mercedes at some stage when the Kia breaks again.
