I need an indie somewhere in East Houston
I am in Calif and my daughter's 300SD is stuck in second, my wife's mechanic says junk it
(the trans had vacuum/shifting problems when bought 3 years ago, somewhat corrected then)

any recommendations ?

I don't know if this is close enough to East Houston, but I've had some work done on my 300D up in Kingwood at European Concepts. I don't know if he does transmission work, but if he doesn't, he'll sure have a number of someone he recommends. If it's close enough for you, call Lothar (the owner) at 281-354-8500. He's a little difficult to understand sometimes. He's from Munich and still has a very heavy accent. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
