300 D power
Well I finally found all the parts I need to use the 5 cylinder diesel out of my 75 300D to repower my 40's model WWII 6X6 truck. The truck had a small inline flathead 6 gas motor.
What are the specs on this motor. I'm pretty knonwledgable on diesels and I was curious are there any common mods to these things. Injector tips Inj Pump advancing? If possible i was thinking putting a very small blower like off of a mazda on it and "turning the fuel up" if possible. I have two injection pumps so i might have to experiment some. Whats the bore stroke on this thing, compression ratio, valve lash, construction (rod material (cast, forged)), How much a head gasket costs?lol

turning the fuel up.. is possible... it just involves some internal adjustments that are very very very sensitive and if done wrong can really ruin your day..
the Finns did a turbo/super charged engine... Superturbo forum |
