Electrical Accesories

Folks,

I read the thread about upgrading headlights on a w123. Someone mentioned watching the wattage so as not to tax the electrical system. Now, I'm wondering, are there any problems running accesories that plug into the cigarette lighter like a satellite radio, Ipod or a GPS thingie, etc?

No problem because accessories and lighting cigarettes is what it was made for. Swapping headlights increases an already existing stress on the circuit. Plugging in accessories to the cig lighter only uses a circuit that has additional capacity (about 8 amps) built in.
