Wow, the perfect color combo. Second time I've seen that interior, and wow is it great!!
Looking at the vin, this car was only 1949 units off the assembly line after my beloved smoking wagon.

What is that color code? Barf over snot, or is it baby poo over pus?

And whats up with the dash trim (where the zebrano pieces usually fall off)?

I think he knows exactly what he has, and isn't telling. Why is it being sold for parts?

Euro spec cars don't have wood usually, but a cool black plastic trim. I guess you know your snot better......

Both mine and my neighbors euro 84 300TDs have zebrano on all but the shifter surround. I've never seen the plastic trim on the dash.

Here's the thing about euro spec cars, there is no "common setup" (besides bumpers, no EGR and a few other things). They were optioned to order: e.g. 4 power windows vs. 2 power windows vs. 0 power windows, cloth seats vs MB tex seats vs leather seats, AC vs no AC, antenna in the front vs antenna in the back, square headlights vs round headlights, yes/no cargo nets on the seat backs, yes/no middle armrest, steel vs alloy rims, etc.

Its the US spec cars that are highly standardized, because they were pretty much fully optioned. Honestly, aside from the no EGR thing (and brighter headlights) I would prefer to have a US spec car. It sucks not to be able to roll down the rear windows while driving.

Crud!

I have a wagon with the exact same interior color, which is very cool.
A real shame it is that far, I would hate to think that jewels goes to the crusher. If it was turbo and 4 or 5 speed there would be no hesitation.

Zebrano and Burlwood trim is actually quite rare in Europe. Most gray-market cars in the US were top of the line, heavily optionned vehicles. But in France and Spain at least only 10% of the W123 running around have wood interiors.
