1983 300sd trans. slips/shudders?

I have a 83 300sd with 140,000 miles on her. I have changed the trans. filter and fluids in her every 15,000.
Now, my problem is when shes warmed up, if I give her alot of pedal from a stop she will slip/shudder for a second and then grab and go. It will also at the 2-3 gear shift.
I have gone through this forum and others, to properly adjust the trans. shift points. I have adjusted it with my vac. gauge, and also did it by feel (adjust/drive/get out and adjust), I just cant seem to get rid of this slip/shudder.
It shifts great in the mornings when its cold, just not when warmed up.

Does anyone have anymore suggestions or tips/tricks. I want to keep this car for a long time. I would like to get the tranny fixed before it breaks.

Also, does anyone know of a good trans shop in the chicagoland area that are willing to look at the cars

When did this start? Were there any strange noises?

I had a Chevy truck do that, and the TC decided to implode and send metal to the oil pump...needless to say that killed the tranny. I had a warning sign at first...when I would put it in "D" it would grab, then act like it was in "N".

I had a Pontiac that also had the same symptoms. It finally quit grabbing. Turned out the seals had dried up, and when the fluid was hot, the dried/worn out seals could not keep the fluid channeled properly. When cold it was fine.
