She doesn't like my 300D

Doesn't like the seats, style, color, power,.......nothing.
Now being the good MB fan that I am, I have talker her into at least looking into a 126. Does anyone have a nice example of an SD in my area that she could inspect before I go searching?

Help me out here guys

Looks like you'll have to ante up $60k for a E320CDI

If she doesn't like a W123, it's unlikely she will like a W126 much better; most "normal" people can barely tell the difference between them. It sounds like you are going have to consider something a little more "modern."

Little more to it than that, I decided it was time to sell "her" jeep wrangler and the Shyte hit the fan. We want to downsize to 1 car and it was only fair that if she had to part with the jeep, I had to part with the Benz.
It's not the car that is the problem really, just female thinking.
Sooooo, if I can get her in a good running, good looking w126, that SHE helps pick out, all will be good..........freaking politics

Well, I've only been married for 20 years but I wouldn't bet on owning another benz anytime soon. You are more likely to end up shopping for a new jeep.

My mom hates these cars. She drove my 300SD for a month while her Rav4 was on order. Now you couldn't pay her to give up that Toyota for one of these.

Your going Jeep shopping. May I suggest a Liberty CDI?

Go with the flow. Peoples likes and dislikes are really their problem. Never take on anyone else's problem. They are much better of taking care of it than you.
If this doesn't make sense, try this. Never try to please someone else....if you do, you will have two dissapointed people.
With that said, you could make it bounce with pneumatic shocks, tint the windows with LIMO tint, Put in a turbocharged V-8, add mini-bar to the rear, large sound system, of course don't forget the cup holders and Change dispenser.
Hope this helps. Just trying to be practical.

LOL, it wouldn't matter; it's not about the car.

Why would you ever do such a thing? I think it's a really bad idea to share your car with anyone who doesn't share the same taste in cars. It's always better to have your own car(s).

Yeah, but if you make her drive what you want , SHE may want to start over

My wife drives the 300D, but I regret not just getting her a new car at the time. She and I do not have the same set of priorities on this matter.

She wants:

It needs pretty paint (check)
It needs new seats (check)
It needs new headliner (check)
It needs good working AC ( check - eventuallY)
etc etc

I wants:

A rebuilt suspension
Safe brakes
Good tires
Reliable starting, etc etc

Bottom line- I spent a lot of time and money on things I didn't think were very important. And there's always more fixin to do to keep her happy....
