Another overpriced 300D in Portland.

http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/car/416828468.html
And there are things that just don't add up like "Fully rebuilt engine including fuel system and fully rebuilt turbo by Don Rasmussen at 125, 000 miles. $ 2129.23 "
And "New Transmission replaced with new torque converter and propeller shaft by Don Rasmussen at 123,491 miles. $ 3282.41 "
How could the tranny cost more than the "fully rebuilt engine"?
Lots of BS in this ad and they say "no joke and no BS."
I think it is a joke and its full of BS.
No its not my car even though mine looks just like it minus the grille.

They call the MB-Tex seats "leather." A dead giveaway -- the car is being sold by someone who doesn't know Mercedes. Hence, everything they say is suspect.

Rebuilt engine 25K miles ago. As usual, not too long ago to make it seem like it's still fresh yet long enough to mask visual clues of it not actually being rebuilt.

Why would have the car needed all those repairs unless it was neglected by the PO.

New master and slave cylinder. whats the slave cylinder for?

Seems like over kill in the repairs for such a low milage.

Why it is expensive

Fairly priced to start.

Then the words BIODIESEL READY ran the price up an extra $3,500.

Again.

Do you mean it can accept a standard fuel pump nozzle?

I like the fact that it has:

"New fuel pump and sender unit, new glow plugs new switch and relay at 150,880 miles. $ 1210"

Fuel pump?

Diesel Lift Pump - $0
Glow Plugs - 5x - $200 each
Relay - $200

Here's another one.

Either this guy is on crack or there's too many zeros in his price.

http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/car/425652740.html

:wtf: is it with people in Portland?

That is a little much for a 81 with a rebuilt 78 engine with unknown mileage.

It's $7000 for tuition so the guy/girl can't be that smart. A smart student would have asked for full $40,000.
