seein this reminds me of the guys I work with insisting that removing bungs from the solvent drums is sooo much easier with a screwdriver and mallet insted of a proper bung wrench. Go figure ay?
Jim My mechanic put me onto using a torch to heat the frozen connection up to around 800-1200 degrees F and then cooling the stuck internal fitting with a water soaked rag to cool and shrink the internal fitting (bolt, nipple, pin etc) |
This is exactly why I spent the $60 on the right tool to do the job right.
