Self leveling system faults on V230

Hi all !

Ive got a MB v230 TD which features a pneumatic self leveling system. This system has been faulty for quite some time now, where the main problem is that it refuse to raise.

The local MB shop, claimed it could be the air compressor pump and that it needed replacement (a nice $2000 job here in Norway).

After looking at it myself, I located a small leak right after the pump where it separates the output to the left and right pneumatic tubes. I think I got the leak fixed but a problem remains.

After a few hours on the road, the pump fuse burns out. Ive chewed though quite a bit of fuses now, and this is problably God's hint that I should take care of the problem, once and for all.

So, the pump works, it rises the back end whenever it needs, but the fuses keeps on popping.

Anyone got any pointers before I run the national fuse supply empty ?

Paul, Norway.
