Embarrasing Stains
The last couple of days after filling up my tank I noticed a spot of fuel on the ground at right rear side of the car. Have not noticed this before, and incidentally this was after my first dose of Diesel Kleen.
I am assuming that there is a leak between the fill nozzle and the tank. My question is how difficult is it to fix this, and could this have been aggravated by the Diesel Kleen?

Diesel Kleen is pretty harmless. I'd be surprised if it exacerbated anything.
And I've never noticed a "filler nozzle" at all, my fuel cap opens to literally reveal the fuel in the top of the tank. That's where the overflow drain dumps out. Is it possible that the tank is letting fuel slosh out through a tank cap that's got a bad seal? Could always be something more like a leak but I'm just saying, diesel kleen isn't much of a solvent. Would be amazed if it caused a line to erode or anything like that. |
