This sounds like it could be a good deal.
If I hadn't bought my 617.952 I would have thought about installing this engine in my 300D. Could have been very unique for a 123 series.

That looks like a pretty good deal to me, but heck what do I know?
|
I've browsed car-parts.com in the past and I don't recall seeing anything there for less than $2K for one and with more miles.
|
man, that is too good to be true. You will never ever in your life find that engine for that money.
I just sold mine with 200k on it, rusty looking, for $1500 to a guy with a ****ed 350sd... I have to put it in his car too, for some reason he doesn't want to do that himself. pays me $650 for it... I may get this engine if you guys don't mind? |

well, I contacted the guy and it has a #14.
also, I decided not to mess with any mercedes made after '85 anymore. I just don't like them. started pulling the V8 out of my SEL in order to make room for the 617 that will go in it. darn, how well made that '74 car. no more headache 124/603 etc. for me. but this engine will be a good deal for someone. |
I would have expected the #14 head.
Why the u-turn on the diesels? You didn't particularly like 617's as I recall. |
If the engine in my car ever dies (hopefully not for a while)....I'd consider trying to put a 603 in it...how hard would that be? :D :D
|
I would have tried it in mine had I not found my current low mile 617 first.
Looks like someone got it. The ad has been deleted. I wonder if someone here bought it? |
