Question 300D/CD lower oil line replacement

On the 123 series cars, does the left motor mount need to come out to replace the lower oil line? Someone told me it did, but It looks pretty simple to replace; I don't see why that's necessary. Anyone ever done this?

The mount does not have to be removed, but the job will be much easier if you remove the left frame-to-engine support bolt from underneath the car, disconnect the left engine shock, then jack the engine up a bit. If you do that, disconnect the fan shroud and the accelerator linkage at the firewall.

thx

Thanks, I've found a bunch of other threads on this subject. Been watching the oil cooler fitting to see if it leaks on me, now that the new hose is on.
