I dont see why not as long as the trailer is not gigantic but why not pull it with the S600 and go in style instead?

With the diesel you'll notice the trailer is attached to the car...with the 600 it would probably affect your 0-100 times by .003 seconds.

I've pulled a 600lb trailer (375lb trailer with a few hundred pounds of cabinet on it) at 80mph for 75 miles with no problem in my 300SD. Could barely tell it was there except when accelerating over 75. Mileage was about 22.5mpg

Sounds like it won't be an issue. Come December, the wagon will be wearing a set of dedicated winter tires.

The S600 does okay with all season tires, thanks to all the electronic crap.

Swede, I used to pull a two place trailer (usually with one sled on it) with a Subaru Loyale 4x4 wagon though the hills and mountains of southern VT. You won't have any problem towing one with your TD. I can't find the numbers in my manual or on the capacity stickers, but for some reason 2K without trailer brakes and 3K with brakes comes to mind. I'm sure someone has the exact limits.

A couple manufacturers for aftermarket TD hitches list their capacities at 2000 lbs./200 lb. tongue weight and 2500 lbs./250 lb. tongue weight respectively. A single sled on a trailer is well within that range, two might be pushing it depending on the model.
