It sounds like a good idea, just by the mere name of it.

Maybe it's chip guard? Same stuff they put on the leading edges of factory ars a lot these days. Clear, glossy, almost disappears when applied to a surface. Lemme see if I can find a link...

Here we go. 3M calls it Scotchguard Paint Protecting Film....

I forgot to mention it before, but something is missing from my package. Here's everything I got in the package...

Guess I better get a couple of nuts when I go shopping for washers. No big deal. The flap was a little loose on one end of the envelope, so they may have escaped in transit.

Hey, good job putting this badge deal together for us. You done good, man! (Yes, that grammar was intentionally bad.)

Seems like a fantastic idea, actually. I think I'll use a little thread locking compound, too.

The only question left to answer is whether I should bolt it on before I install the new battery and see if my repair efforts have been successful, or if I should wait to install it until after determining if the motor will work. Hey, maybe I should install the badge right away. Perhaps the power of the MercedesShop.com forum will compel the motor to work!

Hey, I'll try anything at this point! I did, after all, affix a fresh hood star where there was only a stub. I haven't received a bloody knuckle from the car since then, so maybe it appeased the Mercedes Gods... Either that, or I finally figured out how to stop injuring myself when 30-year-old bolts are involved. I'm not ruling anything out for now

I had requested 2 badges a while ago and have been out of town/out of touch for a few weeks. Are there any left? I'd like to send a check for 2 of them if you still have stock. Thanks!

It can take months for an item to clear Canada customs. Sometimes it never clears............ask me how I know.
