W126 parts number lookup? (rear license plate bracket)

I have been looking on the web here for almost an hour and can't find the parts number. The parts sites I tried all seem to require the parts number to order one.

It is for a W126 rear mount US license plate bracket.

Does anyone have a parts book or access to a microfiche they could look up the part #?

And a place to get one?

I think Phil at Fastlane maybe could sell one? I wonder if you'd need to drill holes because the euro mount bumper holes are farther apart than that for the US plate and bracket.

Is there a way to easily remove the carpet on the other side of the trunk, or is it even necessary (when mounting the bracket or plate holder)

It's a W126 euro Thanks in advance....

Try 123 817 01 11 bracket. Screws 4x 007985 005175.

Thanks guys..

I don't have the inside rear backing plate for the bracket
Thats alos been a problem.

Do they have something inside?

There are just 2 open holes on top which are spaced 10 1/2 inches apart

3 1/3 inches down from the top holes is 2 more holes that have some sort of insert in them...

This is why I think I have to get to the back

Enrique said he would mount it with screw & bolt directly
I am assuming if you can access the back this could be done.
Then evidently it was a bit too much for his guys so he decided against doing it. Told me I needed to get it from the dealer.

I;'m trying to do it right
but I need to get those plates on the car before I feed the greedy LAPD...

:scream:
