300sdl Tensioner/Fixed Pully- replacement?
Our 300sdl's belt is squeaking even though it is new. The fixed pully, in the middle where the belt is upside down, teeth facing out, looks like it has a worn bearing and is cocked down. The belt is about 5mm off the pully towards the radiator.
Is it fairly easy to replace the pully or could it be something else. |
what year is it?
my 87 d (same engine as 87 sdl) did same thing. Aside from needing a huge ass allen wrench to remove the tensioner bolt, it was pretty easy. The tensioner pivot assy looks like something you would install on a locomotive. Will make you feel better about MB when you hold the new one. |
