Getting water on the drivers side of my 85 300SD under the floor mat, whats up with this?

A leaky windshield, plugged windshield drains.......sunroof drain....or the A/C drip hose is leaking. Check all those for a source. On my car I had a water leak down the A-pillar, which came from a plugged front left sunroof drain, cleaned out the whole sunroof and wired out the drains, no more leak.

Also remove your battery and battery tray and see if there is a big rust hole in your firewall.

My 300D smells like mushrooms right now. It still sits outside so I'm sure water got in it from somewhere when it rained the other night. I wanted to finally attach the grille Diametricalbenz sent me a few weeks ago. I needed to pop the hood so I opened the door to get in and that pungent smell of shrooms wafted from the interior. I didn't look where the water was but I think it was in the rear footwells because that's where I found it the last time.
