Hey gang, I need auto tranny swap help/info. I towed my 300D incorrectly months back and the tranny went out on me last week. A few days after my towing the 300D it was slipping and I decided I should look for spare trannys. I got one from "Benz Friends", they said it'd fit my 300D, I also got one from a private seller in Everett that said it was out of a '82 300D non-turbo and that it'd work in my '77 300D.

Now that my 300D's tranny is toast, it's time for the swap. So here's the numbers from the trannys. Which one would fit, or if both will, which one would be the better choice? I do mostly freeway driving with the 300D.
