Trans Problems. - Want Move In Drive?

I have repaired the vaccum switch, modulater. But if you let the car sit for a few days, you to keep reving the engine , and eventually it starts moving. After it waems it runs fair. I have been trying to set tyhe pressure, but cannot get anything on the pressure port. I have a 1981 300D with a 722.118 trans. I cahnged the filter and fluid too. What is going on? A pump going out? Thanks for any help.

sounds like its low on fluid, check the fluid while the car is RUNNING and WARM

same issue

My pressure was a little low, I adjusted it up 3psi to the proper level then replaced the service bolt and now have ZERO fluid pressure - level is fine. Can this be a bad modulator (please, please) or the pump has suddenly gone out when I wasn't even driving it. It was running on jackstands to adjust. Any further adjustments to the turn screw in the modulater make absolutely no difference. I find it hard to believe than anything suddenly jumped in there and plugged the filter.

which port are you testing on? you should be seeing 3bar (41 psi) with that transmission.

I'm testing on the port next to the modulator. I was at 42psi, but now nothing. Pump or modulator, you think?
