Replacing Rear Injection Plug ?
 

Have an 87 300sdl with 300,000 miles. Need to replace fuel return lines and called a place in Virginia Beach, Va on a price and they said when they replace the lines they also replace rear injection plug. Has anyone ever heard of or done this? I tried searching the part but couldnt find anything.

That would probably be the plug at the end of the injector drip lines, at the last injector. I pulled mine out of the short bit of rubber hose it was in and re-used it.

The lines "leap frog" from the first to the last injector. The last injector then has a plug at that point because its the last in line. Just order the plug and lines at the same time.

I use a razor blade knife and slit the side of the hose and the plug comes right out. cut a short piece of new hose and insert the plug.

Every time I go to the local Pick N Pull I pull them off of every Diesel I see, not greedy or any thing:P. just cheap.

I didn't see the return lines here for your model but you can buy them from your local Mercedes dealer. I know less about cars than just about anybody on this forum and I replaced my return lines and end plug myself. All you need is a long nose plier.
