They should go back to DB. How can they leave out our beloved Karl Benz?

Stockholder proxy info indicates that the new name will be Daimler-Benz AG, and that the point of incorporation will remain Stuttgart, Germany. Looks like everything will revert to pre D-C times?!?

Old news. Its Chrysler LLC now. Is it just me or does that seem like a really strange way to hold a large company? I would think they would make it a C corp.

I really hated those POS's being associated in any way with MB. The only good cars Chrysler ever made were 50% MB.

Funny how it seems the worst times in Benz satisfaction came while they were partnered with Chrysler. Hopefully now more focus will go back to where it should have been all along. I am tired of seeing Mercedes cars ranked lowest in reliability and satisfaction.

It WAS a Benz car!!!! Every part had a star followed by xxx xxx xx xx part number!!

I might add that I'm sad to see the split.... I think they should have worked it out...... Having chrysler's consumer approachability would have allowed them to put almost every other auto manufacturer into hurt if DC had of wanted to......

It was a mistake from the start, the miss-fire is a good example why. I can't imagine why DB wanted to try to prop up the remains of the U.S. auto industry. These guys have been dying for 30 years, they can't produce a decent product and they can't control their own labor costs.

I'll admit it, a 2005 Crossfire SRT-6 would be a decent car to own. Not much can keep up with a 4.8 second 0-60.

I really don't care about chrysler, i just have no use for any domestic vehicle made since about 1970, the sooner they finish going out of business the less of their stockholders money will be lost. These people do not deserve to be running a large U.S. corporation, it's embarrassing. Propping them up is not productive, it just delays the inevitable, puts a drag on the U.S. economy, and gives them time to accumulate more debt, I just can't imagine what DB was thinking when it bought chrysler.

I'm sorry.....but Daimler's problems were happening way before their aquisition of Chrysler in 1998.....MB business was flat and in a decline in some markets like the US, and quality & engineering was already questionable. You didn,t have to look too far to see where their heads were at and how disperate they were....the brainiacs like Schremmp thought Chrysler was a bargain at $36billion and quoted that it was a "marriage made in heaven".....more like hell!

May be now they will stop trying to be everything to everybody and get back to making quality premium vehicles.....my 2 cents........
