There is very little liturature about our transmissions, and Injection pumps. Lots of proprietory* technology that they don't want us to know.

guess a rebuild isnt going to matter at this point. i pulled the thing apart today and the valve body was nasty. crude, broken springs, metal shavings, you name it. i have two 722.118 tranmissions though so i'm going to test out the other one. weird thing is theyre different. both are red vac modulator, but one does not have the kick down arm (i think it's called this).

**edit**
also for people wanting to test the pressure on their trans and having a hard time finding alda banjo bolts. the more abundant vw rabbit has the same bolt on the fuel pump from a gasser.

That is good to know. BTW, I myself have been looking for the rebuild manual for this transmission for a few years now. One day...

has anyone tried that $50 video on ebay? says 722.1XX are included. although after taking mine apart today it didnt look that bad if i was going to go the rebuild route.

anybody know where the test port is on these for setting the modulator pressure? i'm getting around 80psi on the port i'm testing. i have a feeling it's the wrong port.
