Sorry to hear about the dead fan
Greetings Jeric,
Sorry to hear that your fan has died but you do have a few options if you decide to buy a used one. If you can't find one locally let me know, there's a used parts place that specializes in MB parts you can call that I have found to be quite useful and they seem to stand behind what they sell to ensure you don't get any DOA's Just an option if you're not looking to buy it new. dead fan
Hi Charles,
I followed your advice, shorted at the sensor, no results. I then turned on the AC and measured the voltage at the fan connector, it's good. I made an attempt at measuring the fan motor resistance, it's "open" so this fan is dead. Your advice was priceless and concise, I REALLY appreciate your help. I'll check Fastlane for a fan. thanks again, jeric |
